Taking back control – Caroline’s story

Caroline joined the One You Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster Move More service after being referred by her doctor. Experiencing health challenges linked to her weight and lifestyle, she was motivated to make meaningful changes to improve both her physical and overall wellbeing.
“I joined the programme because my doctor recommended that I make lifestyle changes to improve my health and lose weight. I was overweight and also relying on sleeping medication, so I knew I needed to take action.”
The One You KCW Move More service supports residents to become more physically active in a way that suits their lifestyle and ability. Through personalised coaching, participants receive guidance on building sustainable exercise habits, improving fitness levels, and boosting overall wellbeing. The programme encourages gradual, achievable changes, helping individuals stay motivated and confident as they increase their activity and take control of their health.
“My goal was to lose 20kg by improving my lifestyle. I focused on increasing my exercise, making dietary changes, improving my sleep, reducing alcohol and dairy, and cutting out sugar and sweets. With the support of my health coach, I stayed committed to these changes.”
