A journey to feeling healthier – Savi’s story

Savi joined the One You Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster Lose Weight service after being referred by her GP. With a strong focus on improving her health and preventing future conditions, she was motivated to make positive and lasting lifestyle changes.

“I joined the programme because I wanted to lose weight, feel healthier, and be more physically active. I also wanted to reduce my risk of developing diabetes, as it runs in my family, and lower my chances of further heart-related issues. Living with an autoimmune condition, it was important for me to take steps now to stay as healthy and independent as possible in the future.”

One You Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster is a free health and wellbeing service that supports residents to make sustainable lifestyle changes. Through personalised coaching, participants receive guidance on healthy eating, physical activity, and weight management, alongside ongoing encouragement to build habits that last.

“Since joining, I’ve made real progress. I’ve lost weight, and my blood pressure, cholesterol and HbA1c levels are now more stable. I can do more physically without becoming breathless, I’m sleeping better, and overall I feel much better in myself. It’s helped me rediscover a part of myself I’d forgotten.”

“I want to keep going and continue losing weight. This experience has shown me that positive change is possible, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I’m excited to keep moving forward and feeling even better.”
