Gaining clarity: Beverley’s story

Beverley joined the One You Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster Eat Well programme following a referral from her GP. She was looking for support to feel more confident in the food choices she was making. Through regular check-ins and collaborative goalsetting with her Health Coach, she began developing healthier habits and gaining clarity about what worked best for her overall wellbeing.

“I joined the programme because my GP recommended it, and I wanted to feel more confident about what I was eating. I knew I needed guidance and someone to work with me, not just tell me what to do. From the start, my Health Coach, Barbette, made me feel supported. We set regular check ins and agreed on shared goals, and I really liked that we created a plan together. I made sure to be open about the areas where I struggled so she could guide me properly.”

In each session, participants learn useful tips, set goals, and get advice on how to eat well. Participants will also have regular check-ins to help them stay on track and get support if things feel difficult.

“By communicating regularly and reviewing my progress, I started to notice changes. I worked on improving my diet, getting more sleep, and paying attention to healthier routines. Little by little, I began to feel more in control and more aware of the choices I was making.”

“I’ve really benefited from the service. The tips I received were genuinely helpful, and they helped me build confidence in myself and in my eating habits. I’m grateful for the support I’ve had and how easy it was to talk through challenges and find solutions that suited me.”

“My next steps are to continue putting into practice everything I learned from my Health Coach. I want to keep building on these healthier habits and stay consistent with the progress I’ve made so far.”
