A new awareness- Jane’s Story

After being referred by her GP, Jane joined the Lose Weight and Eat Well programmes with One You. Jane had been the same weight for decades and wanted to understand her eating habits better and see if change was possible.

“From the start, working with my Health Coach made a huge difference. She was empathetic, understanding, and always clear in her guidance. I didn’t see a dramatic shift on the scales. I lost about a kilo but what I gained was far more valuable- a whole new awareness of what I eat and how I eat.”

The Lose Weight programme at One You KCW is designed to support residents in making sustainable, healthy lifestyle changes. Through personalised coaching, practical advice, and a supportive group environment, participants learn how to make informed food choices, build positive habits, and incorporate physical activity into their daily lives.

“My Health coach really listened to me. She helped me set realistic goals and build habits that made sense for my lifestyle. Her support helped me connect the dots between food, movement, and self-awareness. She’s been fantastic.

“Now, I’m continuing with regular exercise, keeping an eye on my eating habits, and using the scales as just one reference point—not the whole story. I feel more in control, more informed, and more confident in the choices I make every day.”
